TAKUMI ‘Gold Label’ Washi notebook covers are made by one of the legendary Japanese papermakers – Awagami, who has more than a 1300 year history in handmade washi paper. The long-fibre yet soft-to-the-touch washi is skillfully hand-crinkled making each notebook unique and allowing it to gain a rustic ‘patina’ over time (see REMARK). The gold-stamped TAKUMI mark in the front symbolizes both toughness and of being forged, while the gold cord represents the artisanal spirit.
