This pen features a specially designed nib that flexes with writing pressure to allow you to add sweeping strokes and tapers to your words. While not as flexible as the dip pens used by professional calligraphers, it is perfect for adding a sophisticated flair to your everyday writing and making beautiful calligraphy without the hassle of using a dip pen.
This pen can be filled directly with bottled ink by unscrewing the grip section and filling the pen with the included eyedropper. The piston knob at the back of the pen is not used for filling the pen. Instead, it controls a safety shut-off valve that prevents the pen from leaking when not in use. When using or filling the pen, unscrew the knob and draw back the piston to allow ink to flow into and out of the pen. When the pen is not in use, screw the knob down tightly.
